Negresco Hotel reviews
"The Sensations Of French Life"Date: December 21, 2005 Reviewer: Claude Baptiste Wood, Chicago, USA The Negresco is the finest hotel, unmatched by anywhere on the French Riviera for its historical and luxurious setting. The magnificent architecture of the hotel stands out on the Promenade des Anglais and on the sweep of azure sea it overlooks in Nice. The food was delectable and the service inspiring. The Negresco is an art museum itself. I adore the Nikki De Saint Phalle work. Nice iself is a wonder of gardens and luxury shopping, a thriving cosmopolitan city with many places of interest to visit. I recommend the Matisse museum and the Contemporary Art Museum. And in the evening meandering around the old town "Le Vieux Nice", full of authentic cuisine and the sensations of french life.
"Merci To All At The Negresco" Date: June 8, 2006 Reviewer: D. Salter - York. England My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon staying at the Negresco Hotel in Nice, South of France. It was by far the highlight of our special time. The room was elegant, and the service on top form. The hotel was a delight to eat in and the desk staff were extremely helpful in organising our stay in Nice and extra arrangements. On arrival you are aware of a grand era mostly forgotten We enjoyed our evenings walking along the promenade and listening to the Mediterranean lapping the shore from our room. The Negresco also offered us a 3 nights stay for the price of 2 and a welcoming complimentary bottle of champagne. Merci to all at the Negresco. "Magical Belle Epoque" Date: December 28, 2005 Reviewer: P. Porter - London U.K. The Negresco Hotel was a first class experience for my wife and I this Christmas. A magical belle epoque surrounding with the best in personal attention from the courteous staff. I was made to feel like Napolean, a truly 5 star memory. We lavished ourselves in Nice with its fine cuisine, unique market shopping and the historical sights of the city. We wish to thank the Negresco for its palatial setting and service. Merci beaucoup. "A little piece of heaven" Date: July 27, 2006 Reviewer: Mark Evans, Cardiff, Wales We loved our stay at this hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly, the hotel rooms are clean and spacious, and we loved the location. Staying here was a real pleasure for my family. The linen and beds are plush. I have been inside the hotel's junior and one bedroom suites and they're all excellent. You'll find this a relaxing home away from home. We highly recommend the Rotonde hotel's restaurant. "The Amazing Negresco Hotel" Date: August 22, 2006 Reviewer: Robin Lynn, Cardiff, Wales Great location on the french riviera, luxury room and public areas, very friendly staff Cons: none Bottom line: I really enjoyed my stay at this luxury hotel. While some of the decorating was unusual, it was certainly interesting and wonderfully comfortable. One of the most pleasant and interesting hotel stays we have ever experienced was at the famous Negresco Hotel in Nice, France. A Riviera landmark, it sits proudly on its corner on the Promenade des Anglais, which is the major tourist street running parallel to the rocky beaches of Nice. The pink and green dome sitting atop the hotel makes it resemble a giant Belle Epoque wedding cake. It is the centerpiece of the entire area. Built in 1912, it is as much a symbol of Nice. 37 Promenade des Anglais NICE F06007 Tel: 00 33 870 446 956 |
